Dr Ozan Koseoglu is Associate Professor at the University of Wollongong in Dubai (UOWD). He has extensive experience within AECO (architecture, engineering, construction and operations) sector having worked as client representative for government and private sector ecosystems and authorities, managing large scale investments across lifecycle services. In his most recent role, he was the Chief Technical Officer (CTO) of Istanbul New Airport. He managed and delivered one of world’s largest airport projects from design to operations in the digital environment; managing the design & engineering; project management/control; quality assurance/control; claims & contract management and executive stakeholder management. He also worked for the largest private contractor in the UK operating in Europe, the Middle East and Australia while having worked on major projects in diverse sectors such as energy, residential, commercial, education, and manufacturing. Furthermore, he managed and delivered Integrated Digital Solutions to major airports, retail, residential as well as commercial sector projects in the Middle East as design, program and facilities management. Bandar is the Director and a Researcher at the National Center for Building and Construction Technology (NCBCT) at the King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST). KACST is both the Saudi Arabian national science agency and its national laboratories. Bandar earned a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and Building Technology from King Saud University (KSU) in Riyadh and a Master of Architecture from the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc) in Los Angeles. His master’s thesis project “New Flexibility and the Architecture of Time” researched the possibility of designing adaptable buildings that evolve over time in response to their users’ needs and requirements. Bandar received his Ph.D. from Virginia Tech in which his research focus and interest is in the area of Automation in Construction.

The Research Cluster works on design with sustainable materials, integrating smart technology into processes, advanced additive manufacturing, and renewable energy power systems. Dr Wilkinson is a Fellow of the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation and a Fellow of the Geological Society. He has previously worked on Heathrow terminal five, Winchester cathedral, and the Suzhou metro system. He has published over 30 research articles with a main research focus on future sustainable materials.

Anil Sawhney is the Global Lead for the Construction and Infrastructure Sector at the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). Anil is a construction and infrastructure sector expert, an educator, a researcher, and a ConstructionTech enthusiast. He is involved in producing the construction and infrastructure sector’s body of knowledge, standards, guidance, practice statements, education, and training. He is also an Adjunct Faculty at Columbia University, Visiting Professor at Liverpool John Moores University in the UK, and an adjunct faculty at the University of Southern California. Anil has a rich mix of academic, research, industry, and consulting experience gathered in the USA, India, Canada, the UK, and Australia. In 2020, he co-authored a book entitled “Construction 4.0-Innovation Platform for the Built Environment.” He is currently the co-editor of the Construction Innovation Journal. Dr. Sawhney serves on the international editorial board of the ICE Infrastructure Asset Management journal and the Journal of Information Technology in Construction.
