Over the past few years, we have made a strategic assessment of where we are at, the state of technology on the market, the needs of our internal and external stakeholders, in addition to what we believe is the most effective path forward to assist us in driving business opportunities. Throughout the year of 2023, our colleagues have shown a great deal of innovation and implemented initiatives to make our workplace a safer, smarter, and more sustainable place to work.

Our plan for 2024 and beyond focuses on executing our strategy, up-skilling our teams, aligning our initiatives with the capabilities of our customers and employees, and scaling out our value proposition to both of them. As ALEC continues to push forward innovation both internally and externally, we will continue to harness the forward movement of innovation for new milestones to be achieved. We are pleased to submit our organization for the award "Contractor of the Year" at the Big Project Awards 2024.

Alkifah Contracting Company (KCC) realizes the enormity of the Saudi construction market pipeline and wants to participate meaningfully in the development of the Kingdom. The company also realizes that such participation would require repositioning itself as an avant-garde modem contractor who relies on green technologies, new theories and enhanced construction techniques, all of which are reasons to embark on a companywide digital transformation process.

As a part of its digital transportation joinery, the company established “Innovation Lab” (IL) which will implement new technologies such as robotics, drones, and digital twinning to be more efficient, cost effective, and be able to address and participate in the full life cycle of projects. New delivery models such the Fully integrated Model, the Managing Contractor model, progressive Design build will also be offered that promote a fast track for early delivery. Risk sharing and risk shedding models will also be implemented.

It is with firm belief that this is the right track to thrive and survive within the rapid changes and revolutions in the industry. CSCEC ME’s digital initiatives transpires into four major pillars namely: Automation, Digitalization, Offsite Construction and Green Construction.

We have devised a comprehensive digital roadmap to strategize and oversee our digital transformation, ensuring seamless integration with our business operations. Our focus lies in fostering collaboration with stakeholders, engaging clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams throughout the development, implementation, and monitoring stages. By doing so, we aim to enhance efficiency, minimize costs, reduce waste, and deliver tangible, measurable benefits to our organization. Our approach centres around leveraging suitable technologies, both established and emerging, to drive the sustainability and efficiency of our business.

We are highly selective in choosing our partners, only collaborating with leading digital platform organizations that possess clear development roadmaps and robust platforms. Through system integration, we eliminate manual processes and maintain a unified ""one version of the truth"" across diverse platforms and applications.

Nesma & Partners' digital transformation roadmap is structured around two key strategic roadmaps: the Digitalization Roadmap and the VDC (Virtual Design and Construction) Strategic Transformation Roadmap. These roadmaps are designed to achieve three overarching business objectives. Firstly, the company aims to increase productivity and dependability in project execution processes by leveraging digital technologies and innovative methodologies to streamline workflows, reduce manual inefficiencies, and enhance the reliability of project delivery. Secondly, Nesma & Partners seeks to reduce risk in project management and execution through the implementation of advanced data analytics, predictive modeling, and risk mitigation strategies, thereby minimizing project risks, anticipating challenges, and ensuring smoother project outcomes. Lastly, the company aims to foster knowledge transfer across company functions, recognizing the importance of sharing knowledge and expertise to enhance collaboration, improve decision-making, and drive innovation across various departments and functions.

The Digitalization Roadmap, currently in its second phase, has already demonstrated significant success in achieving its objectives from the initial phase. This success is reflected in the notable improvements in key performance indicators associated with the company's digitalized workflows. Meanwhile, the VDC Strategic Transformation Roadmap is focused on fully integrating VDC principles into estimation, engineering, and project controls processes, aiming to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of project planning, design, and execution through virtual modeling and simulation techniques.

Through the execution of these roadmaps, Nesma & Partners aims to harness digital technologies and innovative methodologies to streamline project execution processes, mitigate risks associated with project management and execution, and bolster collaboration and knowledge sharing across the organization. This strategic approach underscores Nesma & Partners' commitment to setting industry trends and driving operational excellence through digital initiatives and new ways of working. PIVOT is focusing on sustainability strategic planning to execute development. It produces sustainable outcomes and has the ability to continue a long-term plan in providing adequate resources, competent staff, and sustainable technology and services. Some achievements for the last 12 months are:

• Achieved external accreditation ISO 45001:2015 Safety Management System Certification, Company Standardization in ISO 14001:2015: Environmental Management System Certification, ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, OSHAD Certification and Emirates Green Building Council Corporate Membership
• PIVOT has been awarded by the Emirates Green Building in MENA Region as Green Contractor of the Year 2022 and 2023
• PIVOT has been awarded as one of the active organizations in Abu Dhabi in participating in the Clean Up Campaign organized by the Environmental Agency of Abu Dhabi UAE and shortlisted for Sheikh Hamdan Environmental Award 2023/2024
• PIVOT has reduced the Carbon Footprint by 15% through reduction of energy consumption, reduction of water consumption, reduction paper usage, machine and equipment carbon emissions and waste reduction by segregating the waste
• PIVOT has reduced the GHG Emission by 15% in equipment use, vehicles/ transportations, construction building materials, business travel and commuting, fugitive emissions, demolitions and debris/waste/waste management
• PIVOT has quarterly programs to enhance the waste management awareness across the projects through segregation management, reducing waste diverted to landfill and increasing recycling rates by 85%
• Employed 10% of women in senior management levels
• Achieved projects Sustainability Certifications in ESTIDAMA and Green Building: ADAC airport Project (Estidama 2 Pearl), Mamsha Saadiyat (Estidama 2 Pearl), Al Jimi Mall (Estidama 1 Pearl), Serena Casa Dora & Serena Casa Viva (Green Building Certified), Dubai South GC03 (Green Building Certified), EREC Project (Silver Green Building Certified)
• Increased 75% of awareness and programs in sustainability, environment, safety and health

Digital transformation represents a strategic decision among various alternatives and their potential combinations. In this context, SHADE has developed a roadmap aimed at pursuing three strategic business objectives: enhancing the productivity and dependability of project execution processes, reducing risk in project management and execution, and fostering knowledge transfer across different company functions. To achieve these goals, SHADE is working on two distinct roadmaps, which together form the company's digital transformation roadmap. The first roadmap focuses on the VDC (Virtual Design and Construction) Strategic Transformation. Its objective is to fully integrate VDC principles into estimation, engineering, and project-controls processes.
