Ahmed Mourad is a Senior Structural Engineer at Mott MacDonald in Dubai. Ahmed has 10 years of experience in the structural design of buildings projects in the Middle East and North America, with the past five years in the UAE.

Since joining Mott MacDonald in 2021, Ahmed has become a catalyst of digital adoption and computational design within the group’s Middle East region.

Having specialised in parametric modelling and automation throughout his career, he has set up workflows and developed tools that focus on unlocking design challenges and adapting to the needs of a demanding market.

His skills and driven mindset have enabled him to transform our building structures practice’s digital computation capabilities and optimise solutions for project teams. These solutions and tools have improved accuracy, saved time and resources and have bridged the gap between structural analysis, computation and Building Information Modelling.

Ahmed has been active in the global collaboration of our building structures practice and has positively impacted how we design buildings, optimise costs and calculate embodied carbon within our structures, as well as provide clients with information to take sustainable decisions

Anas Harun played a critical role in the successful implementation and training of Seven's digital platform-centric data management system. He led an extensive in-house training program to ensure that all stakeholders and departments were equipped to effectively use the new system, resulting in a smooth transition to the new platform. His expertise in digital design and data management proved invaluable in this process.

In addition to his training responsibilities, Anas has also been heavily involved in design management, leading multiple projects and ensuring that all designs were delivered to the highest standards. His leadership and attention to detail have helped ensure that Seven's designs meet all regulatory requirements and deliver the intended outcomes.

Anas has also led more than three projects at Seven, demonstrating his ability to lead teams and manage projects effectively. His technical expertise, combined with his leadership skills, have made him a valuable member of Seven's team.

Overall, Anas has contributed significantly to Seven's success in implementing BIM initiatives and promoting a digital-first approach. His involvement in training, design management, and project leadership has helped drive quantifiable benefits, such as increased efficiency and productivity while ensuring that Seven maintains its commitment to high-quality design and compliance.

Omar has more than 12 years’ experience of engineering and construction in building structures and significant experience in BIM, starting from pre-tendering to the handover stage.

Omar has been involved in a wide range of construction projects, including large-scale high-rise and mega projects such as residential, commercial, civil, airports, educational, cultural, sports arenas, infrastructures and perceivable buildings all over the world. He has used BIM for projects coordination and helped cost control on numerous buildings for prominent clients. Omar has been involved in about 20 projects.

Most recently, Omar contributed through BIM to the Marina Vista Towers project, which had a LOD 500 requirement. Previously, he was engaged with the prestigious Dubai Creek Harbour. Omar has extensively engaged with mega landmarks in the GCC with an excellent performance and implementation of BIM.

Iklim Okyar is held in the highest regard among her peers at AECOM. She has outstanding commitment, dedication, attention to detail and management skills, despite the complexity of the projects and the tight schedules set.

Passionate about her job and the intricacies of the digital sphere, she excels at every task she is set and always exceeds expectations, nearly always leaving a new solution on a project which was pioneered and championed by her.

Iklim holds a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the Middle East Technical University, Turkey. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Coastal and Harbour Engineering, which she hopes will further align her passion for digital and sustainable engineering.

With over five years’ experience in the BIM engineering profession gained at several of Turkey’s leading engineering and consulting firms, Iklim is a much-valued BIM Coordinator at AECOM Middle East. Here, Iklim is focused on advancing a culture of technical excellence and innovation to obtain the best results. Her extensive industry knowledge and strong client insight ensure successful implementation of project-specific requirements and needs in terms of digital delivery.

Over many years of practical experience working in BIM technology since the start of my academic study in the Architectural Engineering field, I have always been passionate about the transformation of BIM digital models into reality.

I have worked for globally reputable firms and highly skilled teams working on distinguished mega projects in the United Kingdom, Middle East, Malaysia and Australia. Using BIM allowed me to discover more areas and solve complex interfaces and challenges among different disciplines in projects.

I have helped firms and teams transform and upgrade the platforms and digitalise the different engineering processes, starting from the early design stages up to the construction of the projects. I have trained over 100 people to use different software and contribute to projects using BIM theories and principals.

I am currently located in Saudi Arabia, bringing my experience and working on new mega projects under the Kingdom's Vision 2030 and its high sustainable, cultural, and economic ambitions.

Mateusz Lukasiewicz holds a BSc. Structural Engineering, MSc. Construction Management, and is a PMP and BSI BIM Professional. He is an exceptional technology enthusiast, digital design engineer, results-oriented individual and data-driven decision maker.

He has extensive experience in the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) industry, and throughout his career, he successfully led digital services on large-scale projects delivering multiple advanced digital engineering solutions.

Mateusz leverages his engineering and management educational background, giga-projects experience, latest technology proficiency, and computer science/programming knowledge to drive innovation and digital advancement in globally renowned organisations.

He generates innovative ways of working by creating custom solutions, automating processes, and improving collaboration in order to streamline project delivery and optimise resources (cost and time) for multiple projects.

He continuously demonstrates outstanding performance and makes an impact on the global industry, our organisation, project team members, and large-scale challenging project delivery methodology. Mateusz promotes innovative thinking within the organisation and inspires colleagues to explore new solutions, learn new skills, and embed a digital mindset in daily work.

Manal is a multi-talented Individual with broad experience in the field of design, sales, and digital transformation.

Working as a solutions provider, she researches and develops smart technology solutions. She oversees process improvement and new key account development, and takes the initiative for continuous learning and development within the organisation.

Manal has been recognised for her work and is always ready to go the extra mile to bring sustainable change.

Shada has consistently demonstrated a commitment to adopt and champion new technology through her career to date. She has driven the use of Autodesk Inventor and Nastran for the design of complex assemblies that have helped Robert Bird Group in the delivery of multiple jobs where traditional structural modelling and analysis tools have fallen short.

Beyond finding new software and new methodologies to adopt analysis techniques within her day-to-day job, Shada has shown a maturity beyond her years in also investing time to train both junior and senior staff on some of her preferred analysis tools and parametric modelling software.

In particular, Shada has championed the implementation of parametric modelling techniques on our projects throughout 2021 and 2022 including in the design of a sports stadium and many of our modular building designs, where the details of connections are fundamental to the success of the structural systems.
