Daniel Llort stood out as a technician concerned to improve the working processes and flows, impacting the results in terms of enhancing sustainability aspects for the roads infrastructure in the field of Maintenance and Operation.

Dr Daniel Llort combined the use of some technologies having as final consequence, the optimization of human resources, accurate and faster outcomes and finally, applied works that will impact directly in a better use of natural resources getting improved results directed mainly towards road safety, economy, and environment.

The enhancement of those aspects are linked to the Operational Expenditures (OPEX), which were reduced significantly, which means, a high-level optimization for the national financial resources.

The main successfully applied, monitored, and standardized high level technologies (referred before) can be summarized as:

  • LiDAR
    • To create High-Definition maps for AV implementation
    • To create bridge 3d models to start with the BIM
    • To scan pavement defects applying better maintenance technologies
  • Application of a numerical model linking different survey parameters to follow up the road evolution (Collaboration with PhD Thesis in Sharjah University)
  • Innovative technologies for asphalt maintenance in Roads Maintenance
  • Use of drones for automatic crack detection, classification and assessment in concrete bridges and traffic monitoring

Dr. Mohammed Mahgoub is a highly accomplished professional has consistently demonstrated a deep understanding of the unique challenges and complexities associated with modeling energy-efficient buildings in hot arid climates specialized in:

  • Energy Modeling Techniques: I strive consistently to be at the forefront of utilizing advanced energy modeling techniques both static (PHPP) and dynamic modeling (IES-VE) tools to optimize building performance. With an in-depth understanding of the local climate, I have developed innovative strategies to minimize energy consumption while maintaining thermal comfort in hot arid climates. My expertise in simulation software has allowed me to accurately predict and analyze the energy performance of dwellings in such server climates.
