The Woman in ConTech Award celebrates female leaders in the construction industry who have successfully impacted their organisation’s approach to digital technology initiatives, leading to enhanced AEC projects or processes. The award recognizes those who have a track record of innovation, with quantifiable outcomes in terms of improvements in time, efficiency, safety, quality, cost, competitive advantage or market share.

Ana W. Hudson

Saudi Entertainment Ventures (SEVEN)

Ana currently serves as the Head of Sustainability at Saudi Entertainment Ventures (SEVEN) and has been a key player in the shift towards more sustainable standards and practices in the built environment in the Middle East since 2008. Ana is a sustainability leader with architectural, urban and environmental planning background, who progressively surpassed environmental and sustainability standards and expectations with each project and team she led. Her work spans from the early development of one of the first green building regulations in the Middle East to the establishment of one of the first Sustainability Frameworks in a giga project in KSA, setting the high aspiration and solid groundwork for the achievement of the first LEED for Cities Platinum certification in the country.

At SEVEN, Ana drives the efforts for excellence in sustainability and environmental performance in the Entertainment and Attractions Industry in KSA, expanding the scope of the sustainability work into the lasting social contributions that SEVEN’s entertainment complexes can bring to the community. Ana is a pioneer and inspiring female role model, who believes that no challenge is too great for a team that shares a clear vision, embraces collaboration, and is provided with the necessary tools to succeed.

WakeCap Tech

Salpie’s path in construction technology has been both personal and transformative. Embracing early Contech solutions, she released a Last Planner Solution in 2006, pioneering a new era in over fifty diverse projects. This journey was not just about advancing technology; it was about humanizing the process, improving collaboration, and setting new standards.Navigating as a woman in a traditionally male field, she has grown resilient, inspiring aspiring graduates, especially women. Her career has blended personal growth and a commitment to enhancing industry practices.

She has championed smarter, more sustainable construction methods, aiming to leave a positive, lasting impact. Developing LCM digital (www.lcmdigital.com) in under a year was a highlight, but more importantly, it represented a dedication to fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Her efforts have been more than a career; they have been a passion, leaving a meaningful imprint on construction technology and those who build our world.Most recently, in January 2024, Salpie led WakeCap in its most significant product launch to date, the global release of VerifyTime, a data-driven tool to transform timekeeping in the construction industry.

Sara Guinand

Over the past 14 years Sara has built an international career in Europe and Middle East. Sara is currently based in the UAE and works for AtkinsRéalis as the Digital lead for the Buildings business unit for the MEA region. Sara gained a first class Master’s degree in Architecture from La Sapienza University, in Rome, Italy.

Over the last 14 years she has been implementing BIM tools and processes on major developments with leading engineering firms in Italy, Spain, UK, Austria, Greece, Germany, and for the last ten years in the UAE. Sara is a frequent speaker at conferences in the MEA region, the latest have been the 2023 BIG 5 future Tech Summit, 2022 Women in Construction Summit and the 2021 First Digital twin conference in Dubai.
