Sustainable Organisation of the Year

This category honours organisations that integrate Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles into their strategy through well-executed initiatives. Examples include eco-friendly design, sustainable material sourcing, reducing emissions and waste, promoting social sustainability like gender equality and health, and governance practices like transparency and fair compensation. The focus is on processes or initiatives that are applicable across multiple projects. Open to contractors, consultants, developers, and project owners in the built environment.

El Seif Engineering Contracting Company

El Seif has been responsible for some of Saudi Arabia’s most iconic buildings in recent years.

El Seif is one of the leading contracting companies of high-rise towers using the latest international construction techniques and advanced systems to deliver landmark and smart tower projects.

Having been established in 1975, landmark projects include the Kingdom Tower in Saudi Arabia’s capital city Riyadh which stands at over 300 meters high, several towers at King Abdullah Financial District, as well as other towers and high-rise buildings in Dubai and Beirut.

Currently El Seif is working on 3 mega projects as part of Vision 2030 such as Qiddiya Water Park, King Salman Park & Diriyah Gate Company (DGDA).

El Seif offers a wide range of services which includes general contracting, projects construction management, design & build services, engineering, procurement and construction (EPC), international procurement, logistics, PPP, BOT and BOOT projects as well as operation and maintenance contracts covering extensive list of project types.

Majid Al Futtaim

Majid Al Futtaim’s ‘Dare Today, Change Tomorrow’ strategy aims to positively contribute to climate resiliency and inclusive economic development.

Our strategy comprises three focus areas: Rethinking Resources to make a net positive impact, Transforming Lives in the communities we serve, and Empowering Our People to reach their full potential.

These focus areas encompass our 21 material ESG risks and opportunities, which are organised into 11 Sustainable Business Commitments and guided by ambitious targets to be achieved by 2028. In 2023, 92% of company-wide sustainability targets were achieved.

This holistic approach has led to notable advancements in sustainable finance, securing green building certifications, eliminating single-use plastics, and promoting diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

Majid Al Futtaim’s adoption of sustainable finance within its capital structure has been a key strategy in enabling the success of its ESG initiatives. To date, the company has raised a total of US$4.95bn through various sustainable instruments, including three Green Sukuk, one green hybrid bond, and two sustainability-linked loans.

These funding actions have improved the company’s sustainability disclosures to the broader market, aligning it with best practices while linking its ESG performance to how it finances its operational and capital expenditure.

Nesma & Partners is committed to integrating Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles into its operations, ensuring sustainable growth and long-term impact. The company’s sustainability strategy aligns with Saudi Vision 2030, prioritising carbon reduction, resource efficiency, and community engagement.

On the environmental front, Nesma & Partners has implemented hybrid solar-diesel systems, reducing emissions by 20% at major project sites like the NEOM Connector​. The company has also planted 15,000+ trees, with a target of 4,000 more in the Eastern Province by year-end​. A 70% reduction in plastic bottle usage since 2024 further highlights its commitment to waste reduction​.

In the social sector, the company has recorded 2,500+ volunteer hours through YouthRE and Tarmeem initiatives and sponsors community programs such as Etaam Ramadan food baskets and Benaa school supply donations​.

Governance efforts include ESG compliance tracking, local supplier partnerships (97.49% of materials sourced locally), and the Excellerate training program, which trained 117 Saudi engineers in 2024​.

Through these efforts, Nesma & Partners continues to meet and exceed its sustainability goals, fostering a resilient, responsible, and forward-thinking corporate culture.

Its exceptional ESG performance is globally recognised with an MSCI ESG ‘A’ rating, establishing TCG as an industry benchmark for sustainability, ethical business practices, and transformative construction methodologies.
