Digital Design Organisation - AEC Industry Awards

CONSTRUCTION TECHNOLOGY AWARDS

Judges’ shortlist 2026

Digital Design Organisation of the Year

This category acknowledges organisations within the AEC industry (including design consultants, contractors, and project owners) that incorporate digital methodologies into project workflows to assist in design decisions. Entries must demonstrate the application of computational techniques and algorithmic principles to aid design decisions that add value to the project through environmental, social, or economic indicators. Entrants are required to provide details on the outcomes from various projects, such as enhancing human wellness, resource efficiency, constructability, and project costs.

Group AMANA

Group AMANA’s digital design is delivery-driven: we use computation, model-based collaboration and automation to explore options early, lock buildable solutions fast, and carry decisions through to fabrication and site execution.

Teams collaborate on the model from early stages to streamline decision-making and reduce time to completion, supported by 4D simulation when sequencing must be tested.

In the last two years we have evolved from a single BIM function into an integrated Digital Engineering & Construction operating model:

(1) BIM Delivery for standards and model quality,

(2) VDC for constructability and site-facing coordination, and

(3) Development/Automation to build rules-based tools that reduce repetitive work (automated model generation, CAD-to-model conversion, automated data extraction).

The business objective is speed-to-market across industrial facilities, plus industrialised modular delivery.

DuBox reports up to 30% reduced material wastage, 70% improved work safety environment, 30–50% less time from design to finished structures, and 85% construction completed off-site. DuPod reports 2,500+ pods manufactured since 2020, 50+ pod designs engineered since 2020, and up to 30% reduced manpower.

Outcomes are tracked through CDE logs, automation outputs, and project KPI dashboards.

Pantheon Development

Over the past 24 months, Pantheon Development has led a transformative digital and operational strategy to redefine modern construction practices.

It has integrated advanced technologies such as BIM, digital twin simulations, and cloud-based collaboration platforms across projects, standardising workflows and enabling seamless coordination across architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines.

These initiatives have accelerated project delivery by up to 20%, reduced on-site clashes, and ensured high-quality handovers without compromising safety or compliance.

Pantheon has also championed offsite and modular construction, combining precision prefabrication with digital planning to optimise resources, minimise rework, and generate approximately 15% cost savings per project. The emphasis on predictive tools, data-driven decision-making, and structured training programs has enhanced workforce capability, reduced on-site safety incidents by 30%, and increased digital adoption to over 85%, embedding innovation across the organisation.

The company has aligned technology with sustainability goals, reducing construction waste by 25% and cutting carbon emissions by 18%, demonstrating measurable ESG impact. By combining innovation, operational excellence, and sustainability Pantheon Development has become a digitally mature, forward-thinking organisation capable of delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality projects consistently.

Sobha Modular Industries

Sobha Modular operates at the intersection of computational design, manufacturing intelligence, and large-scale project delivery, where digital design is measured not by visualisation, but by fabrication certainty.

As the offsite manufacturing arm of Sobha Realty, Sobha Modular has developed a proprietary digital design ecosystem that directly converts architectural intent into manufacturing-ready outputs for façades and modular systems.

Unlike conventional BIM or parametric design practices, Sobha Modular’s digital workflows embed fabrication logic, tolerance intelligence, sequencing rules, and quality checkpoints at the earliest design stages.

This capability enables near-instant generation of fully coordinated façade layouts, shop drawings, bill of materials, and CNC-ready data, reducing design turnaround times by up to 70% while eliminating manual rework. Digital design outputs are consumed directly by automated production lines, ensuring consistency between design intent and physical execution.

Digital design at Sobha Modular is not a support function but a core delivery engine, enabling high-volume, high-precision manufacturing across multiple towers and projects. This approach has transformed digital design from a documentation exercise into a scalable industrial capability that delivers measurable benefits in time, cost, quality, sustainability, and risk reduction.
