Since joining Parsons in December 2024 as a fresh graduate, Sustainability and Environmental Specialist Ahood has delivered exceptional early-career impact across major strategic sustainability and environmental projects.

Working within Parsons, an engineering consultancy at the heart of designing and delivering strategic infrastructure assets with sustainability and environmental expertise embedded throughout the process, Ahood supports the integration of ESG principles from early design through technical delivery.

In a short period of time, Ahood has become a trusted and proactive member of the sustainability and environmental team, supporting complex project requirements and client expectations. She has demonstrated an outstanding ability to rapidly upskill, manage multidisciplinary coordination, and translate sustainability frameworks into practical, implementable solutions that deliver measurable outcomes.

Her work spans sustainability certifications, environmental impact assessments, embodied carbon analysis, waste management strategies, and stakeholder engagement, contributing to improved environmental performance, regulatory compliance, and project value.

Mahmoud Amr Abdrabouh Hamada

King Salman Park Foundation

Mahmoud Amr Abdrabouh Hamada has more than 10 years of experience delivering measurable, ESG-driven outcomes across complex, large-scale built environment projects in the Saudi Arabia.

His work demonstrates consistent ability to transform a sustainability strategy into verified performance on site. In his current role as Environmental & Sustainability Projects Manager at BEC Arabia, Mahmoud plays a pivotal role in embedding sustainability principles across all project phases, from early planning and design coordination through to construction delivery and commissioning.

His strategic approach has ensured that sustainability is not treated as a compliance requirement, but as a core value integrated into project decision-making and execution. Over the past 24 months, Mahmoud has driven significant environmental performance improvements across high-profile residential, healthcare, and infrastructure developments. His leadership has directly contributed to enhanced energy efficiency, optimised water consumption, reduced construction waste, improved indoor environmental quality, and strengthened environmental compliance across active construction sites.

Mahmoud is distinguished by his ability to align rigorous sustainability frameworks with real world construction constraints. Through close collaboration with project teams, consultants, and client stakeholders, he has successfully integrated ESG requirements into construction methodologies and daily operations - achieving verified outcomes without compromising program, quality, or safety.

His hands-on leadership, technical credibility, and collaborative approach have positioned him as a benchmark for sustainability excellence within BEC Arabia and a trusted contributor to ESG-aligned developments across the Kingdom. Mahmoud’s impact reflects the leadership required to advance sustainable construction practices and long-term environmental value at scale.

Nouf Khalid Almarzooqi

Trojan General Contracting

Nouf has demonstrated a strong and consistent commitment to sustainability and ESG-driven initiatives throughout her academic and professional journey. As an Emirati professional, she represents emerging national talent contributing to the UAE’s transition towards a sustainable, knowledge-based economy and supporting the country’s clean energy and climate objectives.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sustainable and Renewable Energy Engineering and further advanced her expertise by completing a Master’s in electrical and Electronics Engineering. Her master’s thesis focused on enhancing photovoltaic performance through optical filter techniques - an approach that improves renewable energy efficiency and aligns with the UAE’s renewable energy ambitions.

Beyond her academic achievements, Nouf has actively participated in sustainability-focused conferences, including the International Conference on Power, Energy, and Electrical Engineering. Her involvement reflects her commitment to staying at the forefront of energy innovation and contributing to global sustainability dialogue. She has also obtained key sustainability credentials, including Estidama certification, reinforcing her technical capability to responsible built-environment practices.

Nouf is passionate about sustainability and exemplifies the next generation of sustainability leaders supporting the UAE’s Net Zero ambitions.

Noura Al Maazmi

Dubai Municipality

Noura Al Maazmi has emerged as a driving force behind embedding sustainability, resilience and ESG principles across Dubai Municipality’s sewerage and recycled water projects department.

As Head of Technical Systems Development and Support, she is responsible for the design of an integrated PMO to enhance delivery efficiency, managing an infrastructure portfolio exceeding AED40bn - including sewerage, recycled water, and the AED30bn Tasreef stormwater program.

She oversees risks, schedules, budgets, and cash flow, conducts quarterly performance reviews, strengthens wastewater systems and sustainability, implements leadership directives and regulatory frameworks, and establishes governance and monitoring systems for over 100 major projects.

Noura has overseen the integration of low-carbon design standards, climate-resilient infrastructure planning and circular-economy practices in major wastewater and recycled-water programmes.

She led cross-departmental efforts to update technical guidelines, design manuals and approval workflows to align with Dubai’s sustainability targets, decarbonisation ambitions and water-reuse strategies. Through close collaboration with consultants, contractors and suppliers, she strengthened qualification frameworks, technical audits and performance evaluation systems to ensure ESG compliance across the supply chain.

Her leadership has supported the delivery of advanced treatment processes, energy efficient pumping systems, biogas-to-energy schemes and sewage odour-mitigation solutions, improving environmental performance while safeguarding communities.

In her role, Noura has transformed sustainability from a policy objective into a delivery-focused operating model across wastewater and recycled water infrastructure in Dubai.

Rashid Saad Alikhan

Red Sea Global

Rashid is nominated in recognition of his role in shaping and institutionalising sustainability and ESG-driven initiatives across Red Sea Global (RSG), a PIF-owned regenerative tourism developer in Saudi Arabia, and for his growing influence across the national sustainability ecosystem.

Rashid leads the strategy unit within the sustainability performance function, delivering and executing a group-wide strategy across 16 subsidiaries, spanning aviation, tourism, hospitality, transport, and infrastructure. His work aligns corporate planning with national priorities, including Vision 2030 and the Saudi Green Initiative, while embedding globally recognized ESG standards into business planning and reporting, such as the International Financial Reporting Standards Foundation (IFRS) Sustainability Disclosure Standards, Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Over the past 24 months, Rashid delivered measurable outcomes by designing scalable ESG governance structures, establishing executive-level sustainability committees, and embedding cross-functional accountability. As Secretary to the Green Finance Committee, he coordinated group-level green finance impact and allocation reporting, strengthening data governance and supporting access to ESG-linked financing.

Externally, Rashid represents RSG in the Ministry of Economy and Planning’s Sustainability Champions Program, mentoring three Saudi companies on ESG disclosures and sustainability planning.

Rashid exemplifies a new generation of sustainability leaders, combining technical rigour with organisational awareness, while delivering ESG outcomes at-scale.

Remya Mohan

Parsons

Remya Mohan is a Lead Sustainability and Environment Engineer, with 16 years of experience in the built environment. She holds a Master’s in Environmental Management.

Her professional identity is defined by a high impact combination of three distinct disciplines: environmental management, sustainability certifications, and ESG strategy. This integrated expertise, supported by a civil engineering foundation and industry credentials allows her to address complex climate challenges from multiple strategic angles.

Remya’s regional impact is demonstrated through her technical leadership on more than 30 sustainability projects in the region. She acts as a sustainability strategic advisor to high-profile clients, navigating complex regulatory landscapes and permitting processes with authorities, including the Environment Agency - Abu Dhabi (EAD), Dubai Municipality, and Estidama.

Beyond project delivery, she has been instrumental in standardising sustainability practices by developing Sustainability Management Plans (SMP) and trialling innovative Sustainability Quality Audits.

In collaboration with senior leadership, Remya provides critical technical support for EMEA-wide ESG disclosures and Greenhouse Gas breakdown for Parsons, in order to comply with the UAE Federal Climate Change Law. By mentoring junior engineers and integrating climate friendly design into major ventures, she continues to advance the region's transition toward a low carbon-built environment.

Ronnet Closa

Masri Engineering and Contracting

Engineer Ronnet Closa has demonstrated exceptional leadership in sustainability, showing initiative, accountability, and influence beyond her designated role. She proactively leads Estidama implementation, environmental compliance, and sustainability reporting, coordinating across project teams to align deliverables with client, authority, and corporate requirements.

Her work reflects strong innovation and problem-solving. Ronnet designed structured tracking systems for waste diversion, material sustainability, and environmental documentation, converting complex rating-system criteria into clear, site-level processes. These tools improved data accuracy, strengthened audit readiness, and increased compliance efficiency across projects.

Ronnet’s leadership impact is evident in her ability to engage and guide engineers, subcontractors, and consultants toward sustainable best practices. By identifying non-compliances early and providing practical technical direction, she has built a culture of environmental responsibility and continuous improvement. She consistently assumes ownership of critical sustainability deliverables, ensuring compliance with Estidama, LEED, and BREEAM frameworks, as well as IMS and ISO standards.

The outcomes of her leadership are measurable and compelling. Recycling and waste diversion rates exceeded 95%, significantly surpassing the project target of 75%. Her leadership enabled timely, accurate submissions and strengthened stakeholder confidence during audits and reviews.
